AXA is launching a new innovative health service for policyholders with group hospitalization insurance. The service includes a second medical advice, based on an online video consultation with a doctor and a physical consultation with a specialist in a Belgian hospital. BOPEU launches group insurance product. Botswana Daily News, February 2, 2023.

Botswana Public Employees Union (BOPEU) has unveiled a new group life assurance cover called 'Bonela Pele Mmereki' in partnership with a local indigenous underwriter Bona Life Botswana. This product is affordable and provides a pay-out of P200 000 upon death or permanent disability for just P70 per month. The existing funeral policies have been upgraded. Funeral cover for principal member has been P30 000 but has now been increased to P60 000.
